Tony Murray

Tony Murray is a Fine Art graduate from the NationalCollege of Art and Design and a lecturer in Media Productionand Photography at the Technological University of Dublin.The first photographer to receive an Arts Council bursary in1978, he was one of a small group of young photographers whodocumented social and religious events in Ireland in the 1980sand 90s. His photographs of popular devotional practices inIreland during the 1970s and early 1980s were published in hisbook Holy Pictures (2020). He has exhibited widely in Ireland,England and France and his work has been published in manybooks and magazines.
